1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of devjumpstart.com (the “Site”) and any related services, including online courses, learning materials, community features, and mentor support (together, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • Not be barred from using the Services under the laws of your jurisdiction

If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
  • Not share your account with anyone else — one account per person

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Course Access and License

When you purchase a course plan, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the course materials for your own learning purposes.

Depending on your plan, you may receive:

  • Access to practical assignments and projects
  • Community access
  • Mentor support and code reviews
  • A certificate of completion

Unless stated otherwise in your plan, access is granted for lifetime (meaning the lifetime of the Services, not your own lifetime).

5. Payment and Pricing

  • All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are subject to change
  • Payment is one-time per selected plan, unless otherwise stated
  • We use third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to handle payments securely
  • By providing payment information, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method
  • You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or bank fees associated with your purchase

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect purchases already completed.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all plans.

To request a refund:

  1. Email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase
  2. Include your order details and reason for the request (optional)
  3. We will process the refund within 5–10 business days

Refunds will not be granted:

  • After the 14-day period
  • Where there is evidence of abuse (e.g., downloading and redistributing materials)
  • Where the account has been terminated for violating these Terms

7. Intellectual Property

All content made available through the Services — including videos, text, graphics, code samples, assignments, and course structure — is owned by or licensed to Satello Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • View and use the course materials for your own personal learning
  • Apply the knowledge and techniques you learn to your own projects

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display course materials
  • Record, screenshot, or share video lessons
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute any part of the course
  • Use the materials to create competing products or courses
  • Share your account credentials with third parties

Any violation may result in immediate termination of your account without a refund and may lead to legal action.

8. User Conduct

When using the Services, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Post or transmit harmful, offensive, defamatory, or illegal content
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or our staff
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or other users’ accounts
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or download content
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Services

We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

9. Community and Mentor Support

Certain plans include access to community features (chat, forums) and mentor support.

  • Be respectful and constructive in all interactions
  • Do not share other users’ personal information
  • Do not use the community for commercial promotion or spam
  • Mentor sessions are scheduled in advance and are subject to availability
  • Missed sessions without prior notice may not be rescheduled

We may moderate or remove content at our discretion to maintain a positive learning environment.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee:

  • A specific outcome, job, salary, or career result
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site
  • That the content will meet your specific expectations
  • That defects will be corrected immediately

Your success depends on your own effort, engagement, and circumstances.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Satello Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
  • Damages arising from the actions of third parties (e.g., payment providers, hosting)
  • Any amount exceeding the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death, personal injury, or fraud).

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the Services (with reasonable notice)

Upon termination, your license to access course materials ends. Sections 7, 10, 11, and 14 survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the “Last updated” date.

For significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
